About.
ABOUT ME.

My name is Elizabeth; I am an avid football fan. I support Chelsea, England and Wales ( when they are not against England).
I am a final-year law student interested in women's football and hope for its growing success.
I am writing my dissertation surrounding women's equality in football within sports law in England.
A fun fact about me is I never played football growing up; in reception, my mum signed me up for after-school football, in which I was placed in goal ( two neon sticks in the ground), to which I sat in and let all the balls go into the goal.
My first memory of watching football was the men's 2016 Euros, when Wales made it to the semi-final, which was unprecedented, and Gareth Bale became an icon to me.
My sporting role model was Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill; watching her on the TV completing the heptathlon in 2012 at the London Olympics made me dream of one day going to the Olympics and winning a gold medal. I now admire her ability to compete in various sports, requiring dedication and delegation. Still, I also like Laura Kenny ( Olympic cyclist) returning to the sporting stage after entering motherhood.
I never grew up with a football idol, but I have always admired Ellen White, mainly because she grew up in a town near me.
My favourite football celebrations would be the West Ham men's team boy band poses or the Sam Kerr flip celebration at Wembley.
