Next season, two Women's European titles—the Champions League and now the Europa Cup—will be up for grabs.
Sixty-four teams qualify for the Champions League through two pathways.
- Champions path: For league winners from lower-ranked associations
- League Path: For runners-up and third-place teams from higher-ranked leagues (For example, Manchester United in the WSL)
Round one of the two qualification rounds before the Champions League is a mini-tournament with one semi-final, one final, and a third match. The winner of the tournament is one of the participating clubs. The winners progress to round two.
Round two is a home and away format so the ties are two-legged with the winner qualifying for the group stages.
Next up is the Women’s Europa Cup, which starts next season. It is similar to the Europa League in the men's game.
While per UEFA rules no English team automatically goes into this cmpeition Mancheser United can join if they are knocked out on 2nd qualification round in the champions league they’ll join the Europa round one and if they get knocked out in the 3rd Qualification round for the champions league they’ll enter Europa cup round two.
13 teams qualfiy straight into round 1, based of domestic league finishes, these are those who finish third palce in their leagues which are ranked 8-13 in Europe or runners-up in their league which are ranked 18-24.
Round two will include clubs knockedout early in the champions leagye qualifiers who then can enter the Europa Cup.
- Round 1 entry: 11 teams eliminated from UWCL 2nd qualifying round.
