For Aggie Beever-Jones, the 2024-25 season was the moment everything came together. The 21-year-old forward went from promising youngster to fully-fledged Lioness star, ending the campaign as England’s Top Goalscorer. It was a year defined by confidence, precision and an instinct for a goal that marked her out as one of the brightest emerging talents in the women’s game. She was presented with the award during a basketball competition alongside Niamh Charles, her England and Chelsea teammate. Each time they scored, they removed a cover from a sign that revealed to her she was England's top goalscorer for 2024/25. Her physical award was brought to her in a little cart pulled by Reggie the dog (barista dog), whom Beever-Jones spent a lot of her time at the Euros, even looking after the dog and taking it on walks, plus took her new furry friend into her episode of the podcast alongside Lauren Hemp.

Beever-Jones made her senior debut for England in July 2024 and quickly made her mark. By April 2025, she had scored her first international goal in a 5-0 Nations League win over Belgium, a performance that hinted at the poise and assurance to come. But it was at Wembley where she truly announced herself.

In May, during England’s 6-0 win over Portugal, Beever-Jones produced one of the standout performances of the season, scoring a hat-trick in just 33 minutes. It was her first start at Wembley and only her second international goal, yet she played with the confidence of a seasoned striker. Her treble made her only the second Lioness ever to score a hat-trick at the national stadium, a feat that instantly etched her name into England’s record books.

The goals didn’t stop there. During the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland, Beever-Jones found the net again in the group stage, scoring an 89th-minute strike in England’s 6-1 win over Wales. That moment, though not decisive in the match, captured her fearless nature and her ability to seize any opportunity.

By the end of the season, Beever-Jones had scored six goals in just ten appearances for England, an extraordinary strike rate for a player still settling into international football. Her goals carried both style and substance: sharp movement in the box, quick thinking under pressure and the composure to finish clinically.

Reflecting on her award, she said, “It’s definitely been a year to remember in terms of Chelsea and England. To come away with the top goalscorer is something that didn’t even occur to me or had in my thoughts, so it’s a nice little surprise to end a great year.”

She also spoke emotionally about her Wembley experience scoring the hat-trick, which helped her achieve this award: “My mum and dad used to drive me to Cobham every day for training, there’s one part where you can see the Wembley arch. They’d always say, ‘Just keep going and maybe one day you’ll play there.’ It was my first start at Wembley and a hat-trick in 33 minutes… everything just fell into place.”

Aggie Beever-Jones’ rise is more than a success story; it’s a signal of what’s next for the Lionesses. Her natural finishing ability, combined with her humility and hunger to improve, makes her one of the most exciting forwards in England’s setup. Her award as Top Goalscorer feels like the beginning of a new chapter for both her and the national team, one that promises goals, energy and a bright future for English football.
