To put it into context, Manchester United women are two games away from qualifying for the Champions League in their home game against Hammarby; however, they did not get their flight home from the away leg played by the club.
Manchester United must beat Brant over two legs, the first away on September 11th and the second at home on September 18th.
Whoever wins this will enter the main Champions League, an 18-team league phase, while the loser will enter the newly created Women’s Europa Cup.
This is just weeks after the redeveloped men’s training ground, which cost approximately £50 million, was opened. The men lost to Grimsby, a League Two side, on penalties after going down 2-0.
This training centre redo was why the women were kicked out and put into portable cabins. God forbid the club couldn’t put their losing men’s side in temporary training quarters.
But who is shocked that Manchester United has lost talents like Alessia Russo, Mary Earp, and their captain, Katie Zelem? This is all due to the team's mismanagement and lack of investment, and it has gotten worse under Jim Ratcliffe.
It has been reported that several Manchester United players paid for their own flights home from Sweden after qualifying for the Champions League. This is another reminder that the men’s side did not manage to gain European football this season.
The club booked a flight with a stopover that returned late Sunday while on its way to its United charter flight.
The players had to pay for a flight.
This is nothing new, though the club was officially only reformed in 2018 after being disbanded when the Glazers took over in 2005, stating it was not part of the “core business.”
Jim Radcliffe asked the Captain what she did at the club, and she left.
He seems to have no desire on the women’s side, only the men’s, and when they won the FA Cup, he was absent and watched the men’s side lose again.
