As we are days away from the season, here is all the news I have found around women’s football and the WSL.
Sky Sports is introducing a new flagship show that will cover every WSL fixture played at midday on Sundays. Coverage will begin at 11 a.m. with a one-hour build-up and be broadcast from a brand new state-of-the-art studio.
Emma Hayes will be inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame in Manchester late this month. After winning seven WSL titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups, and an Olympic gold medal, she will be honoured alongside icons like Sir Alex Ferguson and Hope Powell.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich women’s teams and England's Lionesses become official
partners for EAFC 26.
As part of the partnership with The FA, all England crests and kits along with FA trophies including the men’s and women’s FA Cups competitions will also appear within the much-anticipated game.
Chelsea Football Club and EA SPORTS FC today announce the extension of our long-term partnership, marking a continued commitment to the innovation, entertainment and community engagement that has dated back over the past 17 years.
The renewed agreement between the two parties also celebrates an exciting new chapter, with the partnership now officially including 2024/25 treble winners Chelsea FC Women.
Chelsea FC and EA’s collaboration has produced viral digital content, impactful community initiatives and fan-focused experiences, around the world. Bringing fans closer to the club with creative energy and huge reach, the extended partnership will further support the growth and visibility of the women’s game.
