
The two rivals in the Emirates will fight for the second year to see what colour London is.
Arsenal have won back-to-back home games against Arrnsle; however, out of 42 meetings between these two sides, Chelsea has won more with 20 wins and 64 goals compared to Arenseal's 15 wins and 56 goals.
Before this game, Arsenal have only won ⅓ WSL games, the other two ending in draws.
Chelsea, however, won 2/2 in the league, scored eight goals and did not concede, and is hoping to win their first three games of the WSL for the fourth time.
Their most recent games came from the Champions League, where Chelsea beat Real Madrid 3-2 and Arsenal lost 5-2 away from home at Bayern Munich.
Sonia Bompastor, the Chelsea manager in her first month as manager in the WSL, has won manager of the month.
Bompastor said in an Interview: “That award is always a good recognition. I want to thank my players because they are the ones who are doing well and making me look good.
Jonas Eidevall, the Arsenal manager, and Sonia Bompastor have met twice in the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage.
Bompastor said: “It’s a big game, a derby. I watched most of their games with my staff.
“They have an excellent squad with great quality and talent.
“We’re expecting a tough game, especially at Emirates Stadium, but we’re prepared for that.”
Bompastar said: “I think we are ready for tomorrow, a big game and a derby.
“That's the most important thing for us: getting where we want to be.”
Eidevall said: “I think they look like an excellent football team, so it’s going to be a match between two outstanding football teams, and I look forward to that challenge.”
Eidevall, who had to be criticised recently after his team had lacked strong wills comm, and on the speculation from fans wanting him to go.
Eidevall said: "It's hard for me to say anything to critics, as I don't know what they are criticising.
” The most pressure comes from ourselves.
"I set high standards for myself and will be the harshest critic.
“Pressure is not only a privilege, it's a necessity.
“You need to be able to handle and deal with pressure so that it gets the best version out of you.”
"It's part of the game."
The last time these teams met was in Preseason in the USA, in which Chelsea won 1-0.
Hannah Hampton, who withdrew from Tuesday's Champions League, is back in the starting XI, and Erin Cuthbert and Catarina Macairo are on the squad.
Both teams have had no additional injury concerns since their Champions League games earlier this week.
