Women’s Euro 2025: Full Guide to Fixtures, Groups, Teams and Host Cities in Switzerland

Published on 9 June 2025 at 12:00

With less than a month away from the women's UEFA EUROs in Switzerland, here is your rundown of all the information you need to know ahead of this summer's sporting competition

This will be the third edition since the tournament was expanded to 16 teams and will be the 14th edition of the tournament

The competition will run from the 2nd to the 27th of July.

The host cities are- Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St Gallen, Lucerne, Thun and Sion.

England holds this trophy, while Spain holds the World Cup and the Nations League trophy and is the big team to beat.

Sarina Wiegman goes into her third Euros. She has one of the last two, but that was with the host nations of England and the Netherlands. She should have been the manager for Switzerland; they might have had that on their side.

While the Wales women enter their first major tournament at this Euros, the only country at the EUROs that has never been before, they hope to beat their local rivals England for the first time ever in the last game of the group stages.

On match days, you can get free transport around Switzerland. A valid match day ticket will be valid for a second-class return journey on public transport (including trains, trams, buses, and boats) from any Swiss locality to the match venue. This offer applies to the entire Swiss public transport network.

The tournament will utilise various technologies, including VAR, goal-line technology, and semi-automated offside technology. The official mascot is Maddli, a Saint Bernard puppy.

In the UK, live coverage is shared between BBC and ITV, with every match shown live on one of the channels

The total capacity for the tournament is around 725,000 seats.

It has not been officially confirmed yet, but it is expected to increase from €16 million (EURO 2022) due to the growth in the women’s game.
